Terms of Service

By accessing our website, registering for events, or participating in Melbourne University Triathlon Club ("MUTC," "we," "our," or "us") activities, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

Membership is open to everyone including current University of Melbourne students and non University of Melbourne student. Members must:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain current contact and emergency information
• Pay applicable membership fees and event costs
• Comply with University of Melbourne policies and procedures
• Follow all club rules and codes of conduct

By participating in Melbourne University Triathlon Club activities, you consent to be included in promotional photo and video content that may be shared on our Instagram account (@unimelb_triclub) and other social media platforms.

This includes but is not limited to:

• Photos taken during training sessions, events, and social activities
• Video content showcasing club activities and achievements
• Use of images and videos for marketing and promotional materials

If you do not wish to be included in promotional content, please inform the club committee or session coordinators before participating in activities.

Triathlon activities involve inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks, including but not limited to:

• Physical injury during swimming, cycling, or running activities
• Equipment failure or malfunction
• Weather-related risks and environmental hazards
• Risks associated with group training and competitive events

You participate at your own risk and agree to hold harmless MUTC, its officers, volunteers, and the University of Melbourne from any claims arising from your participation.

All participants must:

• Be medically fit to participate in triathlon activities
• Disclose any medical conditions that may affect participation
• Follow all safety guidelines and instructions from coaches and officials
• Use appropriate safety equipment as required
• Not participate under the influence of alcohol or drugs

All members are expected to:

• Treat all members, coaches, and officials with respect
• Maintain appropriate behavior during all club activities
• Respect club property and facilities

Violation of the code of conduct may result in suspension or termination of membership.

• All fees must be paid before participation in events or activities
• Refunds are subject to club policy and timing of cancellation
• Event cancellations due to weather or safety may result in partial refunds

All club logos, designs, content, and materials are the property of MUTC and the University of Melbourne. Unauthorized use is prohibited without written permission.

Your personal information is collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By agreeing to these terms, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as outlined in our Privacy Policy.

MUTC reserves the right to terminate membership for violations of these terms, university policies, or conduct detrimental to the club. Members may also voluntarily terminate their membership at any time.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and continued participation constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
